Dates For Your Diary in The Run up to Christmas

December is almost upon us and as usual there's lots of festive goings on in the town in the lead-up to the big day.

The seasonal fun kicks-off on Thursday 4 December with all sorts of festivities planned.

An outdoor pop-up cinema, located on the corner of Aberdeen Walk and Westborough, showing a selection of Christmasy family films from 4pm until 9pm, .

The official Christmas lights switch will take place at 6pm in the town centre on the same night.

Late night shopping also starts on Thursday with The Brunswick Centre open until 9pm and Debenhams open until 10pm.

Sunday opening hours have also be extended, with the Brunswick opening between 9.30am to 5pm.

The iconic Coca Cola Christmas truck will be stopping off in Scarborough as part of its national tour on Sunday 7 December between 10am and 5pm.

The truck will be located outside Poundland and the precinct will be transformed into a magical winter wonderland.

A Christmas Market will take over Westborough on the weekends of 6 and 7 December and 13 and 14 December.  Stalls will feature locally made produce and crafts and will be open from 9am until 5pm on Saturday and 10am until 4pm on Sundays.

Free parking will be available on 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21 and 24 December in off-street car parks located at: Castle Road, Falconers Road, Friarsway, King Street, North Street, North Terrace, St Nicholas Parade, St Thomas Street, Victoria Road, Westwood and William Street.
