Give Yourself to The Dark Side Next March at Sci-Fi Scarborough

sci fi scarborough 2015

The Force will be strong at Sci Fi Scarborough in 2015 as Dave Prowse makes a special guest appearance.

For those unfamiliar with the name, Prowse played Darth Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy, the most iconic villain in movie history.

Attracting such a marquee appearance marks a major coup for the organisers of SFS especially given that the event is only in its second year.

Dave Prowse will join several other actors from the epic space opera on 'Star Wars Saturday' imcluding Greedo ( played by Paul Blake), Oola (played by Femi Taylor) and Leesub Sirln (played by Pam Rose).

Other Star Wars actors are also expected to be added to that list in the coming months.

Speaking to Scarborough UK, event co-organiser Steve Dickinson said:

"If I was even to begin to imagine that the 7 year old boy that saw Star Wars when it first came out could be involved in bringing these characters that I grew up loving to my home town, I wouldn't have believed you."

"The fact that Darth Vader is more than happy to come to our beautiful seaside town for the whole weekend shows that we are on the right track for next year."

"2015 is the Thunderbirds' 50th anniversary, so keep your eyes peeled for something very very special that we be announcing in the New Year"

Aside from the galaxy far far away the roster of other guest stars in attendance keeps on growing too with voice of Scott Tracy and Bond star Shane Rimmer, Space Precinct actor Richard James (Officer Orrin/Space Precinct) and Farscape actress and Bond girl Virginia Hey all confirmed.

Other highlights at the event are set to include major comic book artists, writers and a promise of 'Space Opera Sunday' with another panel of stars of yet to be announced.

Sci Fi Scarborough 2015 takes place at Scarborough Spa Complex from Saturday 14 until Sunday 15 March 2015.

In the words of Lord Vader himself the weekend 'will be a day long remembered' so grab yourself an 'early bird' ticket now from Scarborough Spa or by visiting
