Dr Who Stars Join Line-Up at Sci-Fi Scarborough

As if Sci-Fi fans weren't being spoilt enough this next month at Sci-Fi Scarborough, organisers have now announced a double-bill of Dr Who stars will be joining the the line-up.

Sophie Aldred, best known for her portrayal of the Doctor's companion Ace during the late 1980s, and Terry Molloy, who played the role of Davros, creator of the dreaded Daleks, will be joining an already impressive list of sci-fi stars and attractions.

Event co-organiser Steve Dickinson:

"For Sci-Fi Scarborough to land two of the franchises most interesting characters is a real coup. Davros scared the life out of me as a child but It’s great to have Terry at the seaside, Sophie is a terrific guest, you could say we played our Ace!"

As well as these latest guests the rest of the convention consists of Hangar 18 Prop Store in the Ocean Room where original displays from Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Space Precinct, Joe 90, Stingray, Terrahawks and Space 1999 will be on display.

Joining them are Shane Rimmer, David Graham, Jamie Anderson, MG Harris and lots of props, make up and film related memorabilia.

As well as guests from the world of Star Wars including, Dave Prowse, Paul Blake, Femi Taylor, Mike Edmonds, Alan Harris, Pam Rose and Andrew Lawden.

Add to that Virginia Hey from Farscape, Comic Book artists PJ Holden, Lee Carter, David Hine, Dean Ormston and Fiona Stephenson, R2-D2 builders club, C3-PO cosplayer, Mega City Judges, Project Dalek, trading hall, autographs, guest panels, cosplay competitions, fan film theatre, live music, minecraft, retro, tabletop and arcade gaming, geek pub quiz plus much, much more.

Also announced recently is a temporary exhibition running at the Scarborough Art Gallery called The Gallery On The Edge of Forever which runs until 15th March and sees local artists and creators work on display.

Sci-Fi Scarborough takes place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March at Scarborough Spa. Weekend Tickets cost £30 or £15 for ages 5-16. Under 5s are free.
