West End & Broadway Hit Musical 'Tell Me On A Sunday' To Visit Scarborough Spa

Tell Me On a Sunday

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black's West End and Broadway hit musical Tell Me On A Sunday is to visit Scarborough Spa next year as part of a large national UK tour.

The show stars the wonderful Jodie Prenger, who will take the lead role of this romantic musical which visits The Spa's Grand Hall on Friday 29th April 2016.

Tell Me on a Sunday charts the romantic misadventures of a young English girl in New York in the heady days of the 1980’s. Brimming with optimism, she seeks success and love. But as she weaves her way through the maze of the city and her own anxieties, frustrations and heartaches she begins to wonder whether she's been looking for love in all the wrong places.

Marti Webb, Sarah Brightman, Denise Van Outen, Patsy Palmer, Claire Sweeney, Kerry Ellis and Louise Dearman have all starred in previous productions. The updated version of the show includes the number 'I Still Believe in Love' as well as 'Take That Look Off Your Face' and 'Tell Me on a Sunday'.

Directed by Paul Foster, the new 2016 production will include an intimate post-show chat with Prenger about life, love and playing the role of Emma.

Prenger entered Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'I'd Do Anything' and went on to win the role of Nancy in Cameron Mackintosh’s West End revival of Oliver at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. She received a West End Frame Award nomination for her performance in the National Theatre’s production of One Man, Two Guvnors (West End/UK Tour) and played The Lady of the Lake in Spamalot's UK Tour.

Jo Ager, General Manger of The Spa said:
"We are extremely excited be part of the Tell Me on a Sunday tour for 2016. To attract the national UK tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black's musical is a great coup for the venue. We understand that there is a great demand for events such as this in Scarborough, and I’m sure both local residents and visitors to the town will thoroughly enjoy this performance."
Tickets for 'Tell Me On A Sunday' are priced at £27.50 and £24.50 per adult, £25.50 and £22.50 per concession. Tickets are on sale now and are available from The Spa’s Box Office (01723) 821888 and via
