Scarborough's Humble Bee Farm Nominated For A White Rose Award

Humble Bee Farm

An innovative holiday business near Scarborough is a finalist in this year's prestigious White Rose Awards.

Humble Bee Farm has made it to the last six in the Caravan Holiday Park & Holiday Village Award category.

The family-owned business is located just outside Flixton, between Scarborough and Filey and includes a campsite, 16 Wigwams and three holiday cottages at its working farm on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds.

Run by John and Julia Warters, the site is open all year and it is the first time the family-run business been nominated for the awards ceremony, which takes place later this year.

Mrs Warters said:
"We are delighted to made it to the final six for this category! We always strive for excellent customer service and our campsite and Wigwams are ideal for a family break away from the hustle and bustle."
"One of our unique selling points is that we are a working farm so guests can see us tending the animals, harvesting the crops and looking after the landscape. And guests can even help themselves to a tasty fresh egg for breakfast from our free range hens - this is popular with all age groups!"
Organised by Welcome to Yorkshire, the White Rose Awards celebrate the best of Yorkshire's tourism businesses and organisations. A full list of this year's finalists can be found at http://wra.yorkshire.com/finalists
