Coastival's organisers, Scarborough-based arts development agency Create, say 2016’s festival is shaping up well.

Director Wendy Holroyd said:
"We are really pleased to be in a position to announce some really talented and crowd-pleasing music acts for Coastival 2016. All the acts that we have secured have a very strong following and fit perfectly into the Coastival ethos. It’s really exciting to be at this stage for Coastival 2016 and bodes well for a fantastic festival."
Cast has its origins in the Britpop movement of the 1990s and has enjoyed a string of successful singles, including 'Sandstorm', 'Walkaway', 'Flying' and 'Free Me' and hit albums, including 'All Change' and 'Mother Nature Calls'.

Snake Davis is an established musician and as well as touring himself, has played with a huge line-up of stars, from Tom Jones, Tina Turner and George Michael to Beyonce, Kylie Minogue, Take That and Calvin Harris.

Asian Dub Foundation has been playing to packed audiences for more than two decades, with a trademark fusion of punk rock, electronic beats, reggae, bhangra and hip-hop.

Music will be just a part of Coastival 2016 as it will also feature theatre, dance, fine arts, comedy, performance and activities for children. More details will be released shortly.
