Grand Prix of the Sea: Powerboat & Jet-ski Racing Returns to Scarborough
Get down to South Bay for the best free-to-watch powerboat and jet-ski racing event of the year as P1 returns to Scarborough for the 2016 with the P1 Dale Power Solutions Yorkshire Grand Prix of the Sea, on 14-15 May.
See the best powerboat and jet-ski racers in country, as well as freestyle displays from world champion Lee Stone and national champion Jason Bleasdale. On top of that, there’ll be live commentary, concessions and stands, as well as the chance to watch the winners crowned on the podium.
Last year, the riders entertained the crowds with their skill and determination…
In P1 SuperStock, it was tense stuff throughout. Eventual 2015 champions Flying Panther narrowly pipped crowd pleasers Allam Marine to win the round, via ‘fastest lap decider’.
In P1 AquaX, almost 40 riders took to the unusually calm waters of the North Sea, but it was a series of hat-tricks for Phil Pope, Adrian Wilson and Dave Lee that stole the show. In the stand-ups, the young guns showed everyone how it’s done, with 15 year old Aaron Cantwell and 14 year old Harry Robinson picking up the victories.
Dale Power Solutions, the UK power protection and business continuity solutions company, based in Scarborough, will again be on board as the headline sponsor.
