Feast of Local Talent is Show at the SJT

A feast of local talent is on offer at the SJT with family talent show Your Turn.

Part of the 2016 ReachOut Festival, Your Turn, at 7pm on Saturday 5 March, will feature a programme of local music and monologues by amateur performers who auditioned to take part in January.

The acts will be topped and tailed by performances from Scarborough’s Hatton School of Performing Arts, and popular local bands Bongoman and the Bongomaniacs, and Rock & Rose.

Garry Leck, Production Support Officer with the SJT’s OutReach department, which is organising the show, said: “This is the second year we’ve put on the Your Turn talent show, and yet again it’s shown us just how much amazing talent there is out there in Scarborough. It promises to be a really entertaining evening, with a mix off all ages taking part.”

The SJT OutReach department works with, in and for the local community, encouraging people to engage with the work of the SJT through projects, courses, classes and work experience. It is committed to offering everyone the chance to get involved and participate in creative projects, develop new skills, make friends and have fun along the way.
