Experience a Unique Night of Spoken Word & Music at Woodend
Musicians ‘Schwa’ are offering a unique night of spoken word and music when they visit Woodend Gallery on May 4th with their show Threshold.Using music, poetry, live sampling and verbatim testimony Threshold explores the themes of hospitality, welcome and our relationships with strangers. Audiences are invited to listen to the show and then take hospitality with the performers before leaving a message in their travelling guestbook.
Threshold tells stories of home and travel, of how and who we trust and of how we find our place in the world. There is an eclectic mix of musical styles from medieval inspired a-capella singing, via Edwardian Parlour to Contemporary World and Jazz.
