Quirky Photo of Scarborough 'Highly Commended' in British Life Photography Awards

A quirky photo of two holidaymakers, making the most of some miserable weather in Scarborough, has been highly commended in the 2015 British Life Photography Awards.

The image titled 'Very Little Helps' was taken by photographer Paul Anthony Wilson received the commendation in the 'Brits on Holiday' category.

The British Life Photography awards is in its second year and celebrates the quirks and qualities that make our nation great. An exhibition featuring some of the best entries has gone on show at the Mall Galleries in London this week.

The competition, which aims to showcase "the essence and spirit of British life", was open to both amateur and professional photographers.

The overall winner is was a photo of Stonehenge called 'Past Present' by Elena Marimon Munoz.
