"Thank You" People of Scarborough Thanked for Supporting Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal
This year is the 30th anniversary of the Great Daffodil Appeal and the people of Scarborough have helped make it a success.Jennifer Carmichael Community Fundraiser said:
"I’d like to offer a huge thank you to the people of Scarborough who have donated at collections for Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal in the past few weeks. Over £2,200 has been raised to fund our vital nursing service, with more money still to come."
The money raised helps Marie Curie Nurses care for people with a terminal illness in their own home so they can spend more time with the people they love.
The collections might be over, but there are still ways you can get involved. Register to hold a ‘Fundraising My Way’ event, where you organise your own event in aid of Marie Curie and raise money however you like.
There are got lots of things that you can do. A fancy dress day at work, a bake sale or even a quiz night. If you’re not sure what to do, it’s good to start by thinking about what you enjoy doing and go from there.
