ACAS Host Two Training Events for Local Employers
Acas, the public body that exists to provide help and advice for employers and employees, is hosting two training events for local employers in JuneThe training, which takes place at the Royal Hotel in Scarborough, will provide managers and supervisors with the right information, skills and knowledge, to help them gain the confidence to tackle issues that may arise in your workplace.
The two courses, both priced at £95, take place on 16th June and cover 'What the fit for work Scheme means for your business' and 'Managing Holidays'.
The 'fit for work scheme' event will take place from 09:30 - 12:30 and will tell you all you need to know - including how to access the service, what changes you need to make to your policies, what new financial help is available to employers, how it works if you have your own occupational health scheme, and what new support is available to employers.
The 'Managing Holidays' event take place from 13:30 - 16:30 and will take you through the tricky area of calculating annual leave entitlement and holiday pay, show you how to manage leave requests during peak times, and explore the implications of recent case-law including how overtime, sickness, maternity and sleep-ins affect holiday pay.
