Snake Found Slithering in Scarborough Street

Albino Corn Snake Found in Scarborough

A Scarborough postman delivered more than just letters to one resident this week when he delivered news that he'd just spotted a snake in their front yard.

Police officers were called to the property in Aberdeen Street of Friday 20 May 2016, where they came face to face with an albino corn snake.

The non-venomous reptile had apparently escaped from its owner and slithered into the yard, where it had become stuck.

Police handed the snake over to the care of the RSPCA and are hoping to reunite it with its rightful owner.

Anyone who is missing an albino corn snake in Scarborough is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting log number NYP-20052016-0244.
